We’ve had positive reaction to Tripper. Yay! And because we don’t know how to leave well enough alone, we went ahead and made a few adjustments and improvements. Now, we like her even more. We’re still carrying around the prototype we made everyday, because the exterior pockets are much too convenient to leave sitting at home. One of our gripes about the prototype we made was the magnetic closure that we used. Our stuff was flopping over and out of the bag whenever we set it down on a table. To fix that, we switched to a double zip closure instead so stuff stays in. Something was also wrong with the strap construction so we changed the design just a smidgen for even better shoulder hang. Tripper still reminds us of an old-fashioned book bag. Dark brown-worn-in-looking-leather and khaki brushed canvas that’s soft and snuggly. “Vintage” Tripper is here to stay.
We’re so excited. Our very first bag that’s large enough for your laptop, a book, a change of shoes, a paper bagged lunch… boy, is she roomy. She even has a detachable shoulder strap, too. Three exterior pockets – big enough to fit your water bottle, a pair of flip-flops and your laptop cable. Two interior pockets – one large with a zipper for your keys and pens, one small one for your cell phone or iPod. This Bessie in particular was custom-made for Erin; she loved this Art Deco print when she first saw it at Market SF earlier this month. A few (actually, several) stitches later, voila! An awesome work, travel or over-nighter bag. She’s being hand delivered tomorrow… thanks Erin!
Thanks for visiting the last Market SF of the year. As always, we met many nice folks, several of whom were out-of-towners that stumbled upon the event. There was a steady flow of foot traffic and the bar was busy serving $5 Bloody Marys and Mimosas all day. Special thanks to Joscelyn who fell in love with our Penny and graciously posed for these sweet photos. If you missed us today, we’ll be at RAG SF next week on the 18th!
This Saturday is the last Market SF of the year. It’s the perfect time to fill your stockings with locally made goodness. Save yourself from the cookie cutter gifts… just say no to malls and other horrible places. There will be many things way cooler things to buy here instead. Meet and greet your neighborhood artists and designers, say hi to Jenn… the sweet gal who’s responsible for putting on the show… say hi to us and see what we’ve been up to. You won’t pay admission – costs you nothing to look, but the drinks aren’t free.
Have a peek at Bessie our big mama tote. Tons of pocket this one has – six in all, and they’re the right size to store your Klean Kanteen or baby bottles. Yes. Bessie can be used as a diaper bag. Leather trim, reinforced stitching where needed and two big chunky zipper closures. What do you think about this one?
Here’s our Lane all dressed up. We think she’d make a nice accessory to your holiday get-up. She’s kinda fancy in her gold and burgundy outfit with suede and leather trims. But wait! Why not wear her with your favorite jeans, too. See… versatility and of course, there are two handy pockets inside.
